About
Purpose
Recovery is an emerging health concept in Ethiopia with an increased appreciation for a possibility of recovery and action oriented approaches. We recognize the value of doing, the value of rehabilitation and the value of meaningful activity. Our goal is to broaden the spectrum of health care to include rehabilitation and recovery.
History
- Formed in 2011
- Contribute to the training and education of rehabilitation, psychiatric and clinical psychology staff at Addis Ababa University and St. Amanuel Mental Specialized Hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- ~6 one month training trips to Ethiopia have occurred
- Currently exploring the possibility of a Master Training Degree in Rehabilitation at the University of Addis Ababa
